What it costs
Eleven categories, in yen, for twelve months, exactly as published. Ten of them are printed on their English membership page; Platinum is printed only on their Japanese one, where it is described as by invitation of the Executive Committee. Applications and the current terms are on their own site.
Platinum
By invitation of the BCCJ Executive Committee, with the limited benefits attached to it. Published on their Japanese membership page.
Corporate
For companies with 26 or more employees worldwide that have strong UK connections or can positively contribute to the BCCJ’s mission. Designed for businesses based in the Kanto region.
Corporate (Non-Kanto)
For companies with 26 or more employees worldwide, based in Japan outside the Kanto region.
Corporate (International)
For companies with 26 or more employees worldwide, based outside of Japan.
Entrepreneur
For SMEs and companies with 25 or fewer employees worldwide, not owned or controlled by a listed company. Designed for businesses based in the Kanto region.
Entrepreneur (Non-Kanto)
For SMEs and companies with 25 or fewer employees worldwide, based in Japan outside the Kanto region.
Entrepreneur (International)
For SMEs and companies with 25 or fewer employees worldwide, based outside of Japan.
NPO | Charity
For NPOs and charities operating in Japan with local impact and legal status.
Individual
For individuals residing in the Kanto region of Japan who want the latest from the Chamber community and access to member-only events.
Domestic Individual
For individuals residing in Japan, outside the Kanto region.
International Individual
For individuals residing outside of Japan.

Who is at the top of the ladder
The companies their front page carries under the heading Platinum Members. Platinum is the top of their published membership ladder and is by invitation of the Executive Committee, so this is a wall of members rather than of sponsors, and it is reproduced in their order. The British Business Awards run partner tiers of their own, which are announced one at a time on their newsroom.
Introduce a company, take the seats
Introduce a new member company to the Chamber and you receive an additional supply of free seat coupons to attend monthly events.
To be eligible, the introduction must happen before the new member has paid BCCJ membership fees. Free seat coupons may be used on tickets of 5,000 yen or less.
Four members, quoted on their own page
Their portraits and their words, as published beside each other. One of the four is quoted in Japanese and stays in Japanese.
